Yes, Last night I received both rims to start reverse engineering. I'm still in the design process right now, but should have some pictures of the CAD design available by this weekend. be patient, I'm thinking of everything to try to keep cost as low as possible.

Re: XR50 Rims

Ok guys this is first prototype design, I need your input... Sketches would be great, I'm not a artist I'm a CNC Programmer/Machinist. I can pretty much make anything out of metal, but need your input on different designs. I'll be working on a flame design next, maybe a star design as well. These rims can be anodized in several colors, if you think this would be a interest. Need your input. I'm getting a xr50 Saturday, so this will help in design of other aftermarket parts... Thanks

Re: XR50 Rims

those look pretty good, but i still like the thin spoke wheels better, more like aftermarket sportbike wheels, specifically marchesni, pvm, or performance machine

Just another design... Should have ballpark pricing this week, getting material prices, cycle times for manufacturing etc... I'll keep you all posted

I can do less circles , but becuase of the brake drum diameter I can't get circles much bigger, How about this?

Re: XR50 Rims

I like several of those designs, we should pick out two or three and place them on a poll for people that are serious about buying them to pick from.

Good Idea. Are these all the rims to choose from? If so we need to get this poll posted so Whiteyr6 can get started.

Kitaco already makes some circle wheels like that, but they're not big circles. http://www.kitaco.co.jp/english/cata...eel/index.html

Also, do u think it would be easier to have the wheel bolt on to a z50 brake hub to lower the cost and machine work?
