fab5 or anybody big bore ?'s

I just installed my big bore kit from fab5 and i got a couple questions. first the bike won't idle. when i start it it revs high and then slowly dies out. I tried adjusting the idle screw all around and it doesn't seem to help. also I fell air constantly flowing out the hose that comes out of the top of the crankcase. It used to go into the little black box mounted on the side of the frame but I took that off(i was told it wasn't needed) and the hose just sits there now with air flowing out of it. Is this normal? and last every time i gas it i can hear the air flowing from the new airfilter I don't know if this is normal cause i always had the stock filter on it. thanks for any help

I got one from fab5fiddy and just installed it last night. Mine wont run with a filter on it. It boggs down a lot I just need some settings to start from, I did ride it ,, and it is a fuggin rocket I am totally impressed with the power. just need it to idle and run right. When I let off the gas it acts like its going to die. Help me out.. Thanks. sorry for hijacking your thread

both of u guys sound like they just need simple carb adjustments. keep the main where it is for now and start by playing with the needle and the air screw. ohh, the air coming out of the hose is perfectly normal. thats the crankcase vent doing its job. the air noise from the filter is also normal. its real loud at full throttle.

Do you mean moving the clip on the needle?

Re: fab5 or anybody big bore ?'s

both u guys start by trying this...
slowly turn the idle screw up so it will stay running. keep turning it up untill the bike starts running real choppy. with the idle screw at that position, turn the air screw (the flat headed one just below the idle screw) either way untill it smooths out and runs at peak rpm. after that, just turn the idle screw back down to where idle position would be. the bike should now run pretty good. if it still has some sort of bog to it, figure out if it needs more gas or less gas (playing with the choke while reving will help u figure that out). once u figure what u need, adjust the needle accordingly. u may then have to go back and change the air screw again a little bit. hope this helps guys.
