ok, my biggest problem with the fi bar was that it still left all the weight on the subframe and didn't put any on the actual frame so i made mine to my liking.....
it actually clamps around the frame...also, ya i know, i need to make some better tabs welded to the bar to secure it, but whenever you have the large clamp down low all the top clamps do is hold it in place, no real stucture in them......i also am going to weld some pieces from the struts of the bar to scape plate so i don't tear my pants on the scape plate....that is another problem with the fi bar....

 

also, it's an 8 in plate, so yes, it'll stand up on its own...

well, that was another thing i was thinking about was spreading the bar, i can get my foot in there, but it's a little tight, i'll probably make another one here in a couple days, and do that plus the other ideas i mentioned

 

The FI bar almost took one of my nuts one day .. LOL and buh bye to my pants too .. LOL
