Breather Kit

hey, whenever you guys do this mod, do you leave the tube open or do you put a one way valve on it????
also, this is just basically a whole in the valve cover, and a tube stuck on it right???

Re: Breather Kit

I think you just need to put a filter on it so dirt dont get in it.

Re: Breather Kit

actually most of the companys that sell'em don't have any type of filter, just run it outta the way and outta the elements and it'll be fine... and yeah it's just a hose barb on a tappet... like this: https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/att...chmentid=59930

i made that one for $4. hopefully it's working (it's supposed to save the oil seals).

Re: Breather Kit

is there actually any advantage to having a breather kit?

I've heard from several mechanics that they dont do anything

Re: Breather Kit

i'm a mechanic and no i don't think it will do anything for performance, it's more like preventative maintenance, it's supposed to help keep your oil seals from blowing out.

Re: Breather Kit

So it would be a good idea to put a 1 way valve.
