I am painting my frame rattle can style what is the one to use??? also I know some of you guys have painted your rims (just the lips not the spokes) and can i use the same for those or would another kind be better??? and do i use the same process with clearcoating as I do with the frame??? thanks for your ! I wanna paint tomorrow and I need to know so I can get the right s**t so I dont mess it up the first time!

well...
I used the cheapest flat black they had on the shelf. I think it was $1.09
I chrased it over 10 times....it has salt all over it (we have to salt our roads..something youhave no clue about) and it eats right through **** and so far its like day one.

Also keep in mind NO sanding was done at all. The only preping i did was to clean the frame so I didnt get any fish eyes. here is a pic from very recent...ihave over 300+ miles since paint job...its very dirty and hase salt all over it...but you get the idea...

all im saying is dont waste your time......its only a 50.

I am going to primer it first though, I like doing it a little bit better than "ok".

I might do that truck bed liner paint though.

 

if you rhyno line the frame that will be super.

 

Electro-Coat in a can is 20.00 it's what they use on all exterior frame and suspension components on cars, its semi-gloss , and thick won't scratch or flake, an bike eill never rust again......lol. you can find it at Automotive paint stores. i'm doing mine this spring, will post pics then.

think u can paint a skid plate ... i have a red bbr skit plate and im going to paint my bike a totally different color scheme .. can i paint this or anyone want to take this off my hands ... or who has the deals

what do you guys paint your fork tubes with or do you get aftermarket to get the black ones .. i think that will look better than the gold on my bike

 

Just scuffed the paint with 620grit and used a flat black. Simple!
