Front forks (no drama please)

OK, I was all set to buy the Sano factory 1 kit with the frame, swingarm, i-shock, and bombshell setup to put some suspension under my 110cc motor. Recently I have been hearing that bombshells are garbage. If so, what front forks are good then? Should I buy the factory 2 kit with everything but the bombshells and get another type of front fork? Or should I buy some completely diffrent set up. My plan is to buy a new frame, swing arm, shock, and forks for motocross use only. I am going to buy another motor and use my stock parts to make a street/stunt fiddy. Please post all you opinons below and any facts or reasons to back it up. I know this has become a touchy topic. So, please don't rip on other people, I want information not drama.

I've ridden schwartz's set up and it was nice. Same as the factory 1 kit.

What kind of set up do you have Fab5fiddy? I saw on BBR's website they sell valves that make xr70 forks just like their tricked out ones for $90. Anyone know where to get some cheap xr70 forks without beating up little kids? Also what do you all think about disk brakes? Too fragile? Unreliable? Or a really good idea and worth the money? BTW I am about 5'11" and weigh 180#.

Re: Front forks (no drama please)

in my opinion, the best bang for the buck would be... xr70 swingarm, Ishock w/ reservor, and MR50 forks. u can get all this for around $500. i have the same setup minus the swingarm. the front forks have 4" of travel and are a progressive rate. they are super smooth on little bumps, and then stiffen up when u hit hard. my 200 pound *** has never bottomed them. take a look in my photo gallary to see how it sits.

Re: Front forks (no drama please)

just do what fab5fiddy says...

im in the process of slapping on some mr50 forks and its the same hes got, and i paid 50 bucks for them....

same thing as the xr70 but older.

$600 compared to $50....uh it makes sense...and its a direct bolt on to the steering stem.

only mods are some small things here and there with the brake and front shaft.

ill post some pics soon on the progress....

Go with the mr50 front with the longer shock rear and you wont be disappointed...

Fab5fiddy Knows his sh%t, he's helping me with the whole process.

Re: Front forks (no drama please)

fab5 is right, I have the whole sic50 set up frame, forks and swingarm and a works shock, I paid around 18 for it and I think its woth it
a kid up the street has bombshells and they started to leak around the seals, I have hit the same jumps as him and mine are still holding up like they where just taken out of the box, blownsvt has ttr 90 forks and I think they feal like a pogo stick,
but then again its your bike and it all depends on how you want it to feal

Let me know if they are the exact same dimentions as xr70 forks. BBR makes an upgrade kit for them. I should have PM'ed you about the mr50 forks, now they will be impossible to find on ebay.
