Bore Kit

Okay so IM looking on ebay for a bore kit. I see a hi-comp, a stage 2 and a stage 3. I understand the difference between the 3 but which one would you get or what is the most common kit. The hi-comp looks like its just been bored out with stock piston. while the stage 2 throws in the carb and stage looks to be the piston and the racing cam. These kits are not name brand either I should I try an off brand has anyone else or is it just best to spend the extra and get the takegawa

Re: Bore Kit

the takegawa bore kits are no better than the generic.if you want a good price on a bore kit go to www.hondatrailbikes.com he has an 88cc kit with cam,20mm carb and all for 275.00 i got one on mine and it is no better than my other bike with a kitaco kit.dont waste your money on name brand.by the way these are made by kitaco for him just in a generic white box.

I went w/ the Tagawawa Kit w/ the Carb / Intake/ Cam & stuff. Love it. runs perfect, I went w/ the name brand kit - cause. well. I dunno, cause if it costs more its gotta be better right!

Re: Bore Kit

id have to say NO from my experience.besides takegawa comes with a 18mm carb this is a 20mm.mine will do wheelies in 3rd gear with throttle only not pulling on the bars or clutching it at all.save the money and buy a cdi box or exhaust.and besides that i know that this is made by kitaco anyway.i know the company owner personaly.
