BENT FORKS!!! What now???
BENT FORKS!!! What now???
I bent my left fork leg. Can I just bend it back in a vice? What are these made of? Steel? Has anybody tried to fill these with an epoxy or something to prevent them from bending? I guess I will try to straighten it and fill them both to try and strenghen them.
Any words of wisdom? Should I just buy Chro moly ones? Are they really stronger?
Thanks,
Nathan

On one of mine - I bent it back with a vice and hammer....do it real slow....
the other i bought the 1" longer ones - no problems or signs of bending yet.
OH - I did hear of a mx guy cuting wood dal rods and puting them in there for strength....

A friend of mine bend both of his so we put it in a vice and heated them with the torch and bent'em back. With the fork guards on it's not noticeable. He still rides it that way but I would do the quick fix and find new legs in the meantime.
