$4 vented valve cover

1. Unscrew cap
2. Drill hole
3. JBWeld hose fitting
4. Screw cap back on
5. Attach and route breather tube where ever you want

The fitting cost me 99 cents, $3 for 2 feet of the tubing. I had a little extra jbweld and an extra hose clamp (another 50 cent item) laying around.

I wasn't expecting any gain with this, I did it just for fun.

nice job craze. another option is to use a threaded hose barb and tap the hole that you drilled, then use the jbweld on the threads and on the inside of the cap. you'll get a cleaner look for those bling bling kids out there, but you did a nice job i'll have to do that sometime.

The only problem with threading the fitting in there is the clearance from the cap to the rocker is very tight. You can't expose many threads without it touching, that's why I decided just to jbweld it so it sat flush with the underside of the cap.

ok good call craze, i haven't actually done it yet so i haven't seen what type of space is availible (just going on hear-say). did you have to cut you're barb down some to give it some extra room?

i see that a lot of people are doing this to thier motors.i understand to get the pressure out of the block to rev faster but how many have actually seen any differance.is it noticable.is not the stock vent down the back enough.i have heard it may be needed for a stroker motor only.

No I just balled up some aluminum foil under the cap to elevate the barb to the height I wanted it and jbwelded it into place. I rode the bike for about 2 hours today and everything worked great. As far as any gains, I didn't really notice any, but I thought it was a fun project to do.

we did the tapped version.... just screwed it in to where it was flush under the cap and jbed it into place... buddy was going to order the one from TB for 30.00.For 30 bucks we got the drill bit the tap the jb and 15' of hose and all other necessary hardware to do all of our 50's and for 10 bucks a crack to a few others that wanted them. Haven't noticed a lot of diff but looks kinda cool anyhow.

i ground off the last few threads so there's plenty of clearance... all the jbweld is on the threads and bottom side so it looks purty.
