Come on Shuggs.... of course you need a voltage regulator..that is why your headlight blew out.

I've got a Craftsman snake light wrapped around the pad on the big-bars.. works pretty good and you can take it with you when you ditch the fiddys in a culvert and are running fom the popo on foot!
