Chicago Cycle Center ???'s

Alright, I am looking at the Cycle Trader and thier ad says $800 and change for a CRF50. My local dealer today told me $1399 OTD for one. How can there be such a price difference?

Have any of you guys on here bought a bike from them? Not Illinois guys but out of state peeps? The only thing I will seem to save on is no tax or title if I choose to not do it in my state.

So will it be a deal for me to drive 3 or 4 hours and get one there? Why would I even look for a used one if I can get one there that cheap? Saving money means more mods.

I figured as much. That is some bullshit if that is what they really do. I would never deal with anyone that does that.

Who is Rodger?

There he is.

But it doesn't work for me if you only beat it by a couple of hundo. It isn't worth the time to round trip it for 6 hours to save that little bit.

Anyways, I was just wondering. Sucks that you advertise things that way. I had heard it before but never actually could find anyone that bought from CCC. Now I know.

What kind of shipping could I expect on parts? I am on the west side of Michigan.

I'll 2nd your motion on the BS about ccc. I have called many times on numerous bikes from Hondas to Ducati"s and their price always jumps from advertised to rediculous in no time flat. I am also an out of state consumer, and they give me that crap about gas voucher and rebates being put into the discounted price. They also have some of the most rediculous freight prep and destination charges I have ever heard of.

Now don't get me wrong- I would buy from them in a heart beat if I could get a legit DEAL and make it worth my time to drive there.

CCC can suck a chaffed sack for putting those ads in Cycle Trader. Nice dishonest first impression to the masses. And nice focking faux gold crown that dude wears in the ad. King of the liars, I say. He looks like a used carpet salesman.

No offense intended to their honest employees.

So what if everyone else does it. CCC does it the worst. Support your neighborhood bike shop.

No offense, dude, but I care what CCC advertises for.

You should SELL products at the price you advertise. Otherwise you are A LIAR! End of story.

I bought my first one at Shawmut but have since switched my buying over to Village. When Shawmut did the remodel on the bldg I found that I can't get any help in the place anymore. They are to big and to understaffed for my liking. Plus,Village is 5 minutes from my house and I am riding 50's with those guys now.

I actually bought my fifty from Sam and he is keeping an eye out for a WR426 for me right now.

The three dealers in town are within dollars of each other on the OTD price on a CRF50 so it doesn't really matter where I buy it from.

See what your price is and PM me with it. It would interest me.
