I got a few questions for u...
-You say that u can use an old 70 head or a new one. I have a friend who says he can get me a ct70 head, but i was wondering if it would be worth it to find a newer head like from an xr70 instead, because it has the bearings. Would it last longer or does it even matter?
-http://www.dratv.com/20micaunreca.html Is this the carb that i would need?
-http://www.dratv.com/22maun.html Is this the intake manifold i would need? Also, are there any modifications i would have to do to get the carb and intake to fit or would it be a bolt on fit?
-Would i need the stiffer valve and clutch springs w/ these mods too?
-I ride in the neighborhood a lot so i really need a quiet pipe, so would i still get a good performance gain if i stayed w/ the stock pipe?

Thanks!

no prob bro, thats what im here for. i would use the newer head for sure if u can get ahold of one for a reasonable price. the bearings are not only more friction free, but less friction means more horsepower. im not sure if that carb will work. i was talking about is this... http://www.dratv.com/20cagrforbig.html . i know for sure this one works with that manifold and it is the same exact carb that comes with all the kitako and takegawa kits. stiffer valve springs are a very good idea with the bigger cam. clutch springs would be a good investment also. im sure the stockers will hold up for awhile, but who knows how long. the stock pipe will be killing your power if u chose to keep it. noise dont matter anymore when u got a fiddy capable of outrunnin the cops!!!

adam202, sorry if my knowledge of small engines offends u. a more tucked pipe means a tighter bend radius right? last time i checked, the fastest distance beween 2 points was in a STRAIGHT LINE. but who knows..? maybe all that physics crap we all learned in school was a lie. get a clue.

Well i ride right in front of my house a lot so i cant really run if someone calls the cops. How loud is the hondaminitrail.com pipe? Are there any somewhat quiet better flowing pipes?

SWEET i win!!!!.

sandmrrider- im looking for a quiet pipe too, i live in a sub division and ride on the roads all day with no complaints so far, i dont wanna pipe it and make it loud but i want way more power. i wanna keep stock pipe on but im sure it will restrict it to much. i dunno what to do.

I dont think that they make one for a 50 but i was watchin some atv and they had a pipe were u couldnt even hear it running. It was SWEEET. Great for huntin. Just throw some muffler packing in the stock pipe for the xr and it should quiet it down.

why would we want our stock pipe quieter?, ill prolly just find the quietest aftermarket pipe and just get that and hope the yuppies dont bother me.
What about fmf? there really cheap, like 140$. how is the performance on those?

If you guys see Sano's new video that is out there by the way, its called "Third gear pinned" DO NOT BUY IT! I think they made that video on a $20 buget. It is a waste of ya'lls cash. You would be better off watchin your home video or goin to http://www.midweststunters.com/briansmith_50.htm and watchin these vids. Haha. Stuntlife.com is much more entertaining.

OK i am new here/ But my question is this. Can you mix aqnd match parts from www.dratv.com with Takegawa. I have been told not too. But What I am wanting to do is convert my 88S stage kit to a 110 stroker. What all would I need to do it?
Thanks

You can mix and match anything. I have parts from all different manufacturers in my 50 motor and it screams.
