Wheelies in 3rd with stock motor?

I've noticed in alot of the videos I've seen people are doing huge wheelies in 3rd gear. I tried gettin into 3rd gear by shifting from a 2nd gear wheelie, but the thing won't stay balanced (if it don't flip right away). Is there some trick to doing wheelies in 3rd or is it just practice? I can go as far as I want in 1st or 2nd, but 3rd gear sounds awesome. High speed wheelies are fun on sport bikes and full size dirtbikes, so a fiddy sounds like twice the fun.

3rd is easy. just lean back and give a little throttle and the bike comes right up. shifting into 3rd from second just takes alot of practice.

If your gonna shift, cover the rear brake and use that as it comes up to the top.

Shifting is a bit hard but easy to learn in a day. Too just pull it up in 3rd also just takes a bit of practice. In no time you'll find yourself rockin wheelies for blocks! The rear brake is your friend, it took me a long time to learn how to use the brake while riding wheelies but if you can master the art you can master the wheelie.

i do my coasters from 3rd. get in 3rd and get about half throttle, then pull up on the shifter so it's in neutral and crack the throttle then let down on teh shifter as you pull back on the bars and it's like clutching it up. works great.

I could rock wheelies in third with the stock motor but it is so much easier with the Big Bore.

3rd gear wheelies are tit. Give it some throttle and yank it up. Simple as that.

Ride for miles.

Be careful in 3rd though. I landed on my *** a few weeks ago. If your used to riding 2nd gear wheelie there is a good amount of engine break to keep you from looping it.

I was in third and ripped up a wheelie, it got too high, I let off the throttle hoping for some engine brake.............went back farther and farther..nothing...........jam the brake, too late WHAMO on my ***.

OUCH!!!! I thought I broke my *** and split my taint.

that's why you have a rear brake.....and yes, just cause it's a small bike doesn't mean 30mph won't rip your *** open.

Speaking of *cough* retards *cough*

Your telling me you've never looped a wheelie on your 50 is that right binder929rr.

For the record I do not rely on engine braking to wheelie. I know how to use the brake. Engine braking can also be used to wheelie in combination with the brake.

Hey looping it is fun...... I will rip in 3rd, get it right to 12, pull up on shifter, and cost..... (although I have not perfected this...) This is MAJOR brake control, all ya have is speed and brake, nuttin else..... Although, MAKE SURE YU ARE GOOD AT THE BRAKE 1st. LOL
