trying to fix bent rim?spokes

trying to fix bent rim?spokes

whats the easiest way to get the rim striaght again?spokes got loose now its all out of wack..and im not paying someone 60 to do it either..i rather ride bent

well, i thought you had to have a wheel truer to do that....maybe a bicycle shop can do it..

well, the truer isn't all that complex of a machine, its just got a place to set the axle and a set of caliper looking things that give a reference point to see the wheel move up, down, or side to side... if you want to try it go for it, just get yourself a spoke wrench and have at it, but its a pretty easy deal to f' up..

well i just tightened all them up now and it still is fuycked..oh well...ride it till it snaps off

i don't know if this would work for a 50 but i used to do my bicycle rims in a spare set of forks in a vise. so why not try and flip you 50 upside down and take a screwdriver (or something) and clamp it to one fork leg ( use that as the referance point, just make sure it's centered) then spin the rim and adjust spokes accordingly untill it's even.

gonna try that thanks!!!not the flippign over part but ill jsut take the wheel off
