jetting with light bore

just got a 88cc light bore kit w/ cam and i am wondering what size main jet to run in the stock carb for this kit. no pipe. and, does the rev box make that much of a difference with the light bore?

I was considering this package myself. How's it go better than stock?

I would run try a 66 and work your way from there. Considering on a stocker you can get away with a 62 main.

I heard that big bore kits are better with a bigger carb or the engine won't last that long.

How do you figure the engine wouldn't last long? I think it would run better with the carb but without it's just creating a bottle neck, no reason for the motor to burn up quicker?

My kitaco 88cc kit and CDI will be here friday.

That's just what I heard. honestly I don't think the engine will give out it's just better with a bigger carb.

tips

I have the same set up as yours. i have the 88 s-stage,stock pipe, hyper cdi ,and stuff...Do you have the PC 18 carb too??? if you doo then check it, run with the #85 main jet , air-screw turned out 1/2 to 1 1/2 max , and jet needle clip, middle groove up to 2nd fron top. But really dont turn your air screw to 1 1/2 you'l be running too lean.
