Both my steering stops are broken off. Will this hurt anything?

Should I weld on some new ones, just need to know before I hurt anything else.

 

Forks might smashing the tank and that could break in and then if your spark plugs isnt tight the stream of gas could ignite and then you would jump off the flaming 50 and the water from the garden hose will be a ft short and then you will have to fill a bucket up and watch the little beast burn . But that happened to my friends 3 wheeler, the plug wasnt on tight and the gas from the carb leaked on the engine and it started on fire and the water was a ft from it so he used a bucket
