if you take the 8mm bolts (3) in the rear of the pipe off inside there will be a screen...cut that off...its a spark arrester and i didnt need it.
the thing is theres a steel cap over the spark arrester screen so its blocking most of the free flow.

cut off the screen and you will feel a difference and it sounds better too.

i have an 04 crf....it sounds alot better....

 

just take that peice of **** end cap off and its 5 times better.

 

i did that along time ago but ther eis no differences its just loude and there for makes it feel faster

The stock exhaust is fairly restrictive. There will still be plenty of backpressure. Throw in some different jets when you do that mod and you will get a little HP.
