what's the story here? Are they the same bike, with different motors? or is the 70 taller?

 

70 is larger, longer suspension travel, super soft shocks. all of the aftermarket parts for the 50 work on the 70. but the 70 is not as easy to get away with riding it in public places. Most people including the cops just laugh at you unless they are getting complaints, wheelies still **** off the pigs, even on a 50. GET THE50 , take it anywhere, I carry mine in the back seat of my Focus, never know when you may need to show off. I just noticed that you live in the D we will all be riding our 50 Mon nite 8:00pm at Throttle Stop, biker bar VanBorn RD. east of Telegraph(about a mile east). North side across from the go kart place. We will drink eat and stunt 50's come on buy and try a 50 out for yourself. PS my buddie will probley bring his 70 also.

 

Sounds good. I'll try to get up there. A friend of mine in Mt. Clemens has one. There's a tiny park across the street and he rides it on his block and in the park. Cops don't seem to care anymore. One of the neighbors apparently keeps calling, but nobody else minds. It's stock, so it's pretty quiet.

I can't wait to get mine. it's soooo much fun.

 

I like the novalty of the fiddy cause of the size but the 70 is way better in the dirt and more comfy to ride. I don't know what one is better but I am gonna get a 70 cause I am tall(6'4")

xr70's are more comfey easyer to ride in dirt & road but are not nearly as fun look retared cops give you more trobule people give you more **** & there for wussy's unless you cant ride good at all if ya get one you well want a fiddy a week later
