i do it in 2nd gear most of the time (sometimes in third) but at the top end of 2nd. and once you hit the pivit point give alittle throttle and cover the rear brake and ease it back slowly. if you start to fall back hard hit the brake. just keep trying. practice, practice, practice. soon you will get the feel of it. that is just my 2 cents. oh by the way nice 12 bar!
