K & N Filter ..???
As a quick fix you can move the clip on the rod a notch or 2 . It still will not be right but it will be better . I ended up going 2 sizes bigger on the jet . Got it from the dealer for like $5 . Real easy to swap out , just pay close attention to the dissasembly so you remember how to put it back together ( the "return " spring can be a little tricky if you don't pay attention when taking it apart ) .

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody has a part number for the jet sizes in a stock carb. I ordered the next two sizes up and they were no wheres close to being the same one. Our honda shop don't know a whole lot on the fifty's so they are kinda useless. Please help.
Oh yeah I have a 03 fifty with K&N filter and a gutted stock exhaust.
Thanks

Okay just for the record I am running a stock 02 XR50R with a K&N air filter and the spark arrestor has been removed. I have the clip in the stock position and a # 60 jet in the carb . I am very happy with the performance gain for the $$$ spent ( $34 ) .
The part # for the # 60 jet is 99101-1870600 it cost me $5.47 at the local honda dealer.
I did the K&N mod as well as the spark arrestor removal .
Before I changed the jet the bike had a big bog just off idle . Moving the clip was a bandaid fix that did not solve the problem but it made the bike rideable. I did the jet swap after talking to a local fiddy owner who told me what size to go buy. It made a huge difference in throttle response. The bike revs as clean as stock but with more power.
Good luck and enjoy , mike
