SB Freaks 12 bar

Does anyoine know how this thing mounts up? Do you have to drill 6 holes in the subframe?

Yeah I had to drill 6 holes in my subframe. It acually ties the whole subframe together a makes it stronger(at least on mine it does). I havent hit my 12bar except when I fall off the back . But never tried to hit it. UnFknRealR1@aol.com

How did you line up the 12 bar so you could drill the holes straight?

Well my 12bar came with a slot cut out for the exhaust bolt so I held the 12 bar up put the exhaust bolt up and tightened it. The 12 bar was pretty secure by now. Then I drilled one hole at a time, when I was done with each hole I would bolt it up. They guy who made mine did a killer job. It bolted right up ,no modifing anything. If I can trace back who I bought it from, I'll post it for everyone

I can't stress to you guys enough, know the necessity for a 12 bar. If you can't use it yet, don't put it on yet. It doesn't look cool if you can't use it. It's more of a hazard on the back of that bike than it is on the shelf. I have the scars to show it, that thing does some damage. It's your choice, but think about that sharp hunk of metal hurdling at your head when you're riding.

about what
I guess sb freaks bar might be foam padded, but every bar I've used/seen has been like a guillotine. And there isn't one person on this board that can say they don't crash at least every time they take out their fifty

I hear you on that...it is not exactly pleasant to have it hurling at you when you flip a stoppie.....that is why the sbfreaks bar kicks *** because when you don't want it on...well take it off...but it is a must for 12s on the fiddy...
