Question Painting plastic

I think that having black fenders front and back would be pretty . Since the stock fenders are eventually gonna get trashed, why not paint 'em black and save some $ on new ones(for now). To get the best results from painting plastic, should I sand 'em down and use multiple coats or what?

Just do what I did. Go to the store and get the fattest permanent marker you can find and then stock coloring your fenders. Spray paint chips away too easy, with the marker you can bend fall and still not worry about chipping. Its easy and cheaper.

Wouldn't that leave streak marks like it can on paper? I'm sure I'll work but I don't wanna look like a hoosier! Isn't there flexible paint you can buy, I'm sure they make paint for plastics. Look at model paint!

plastic/vinyl dye is the way to go, you can get it at most auto parts stores with a decent spray can selection.. shouldnt have any problems dying the red to black.. i personally havent used it on the fiddy or other plastic, but ive talked to folks that have used it in the past and it seems that the way to go
