i just picked up an xtra set of rims to run slicks for my 01' XR fiddy and the guy said they were for a xr / crf 50. i didnt notice the difference until i tried swapping out my drum brakes after mounting my tires and they wouldnt fit, actually they are completely different internally on the front.. i'm so fuggin pissed right now since mounting the tires was a big PITFA.. anyway, anybody know wtf these rims came off and how can i get em to fit my xr.. i'm guessing they from a china pit? pic of my xr and the other front rim where the brake assembly mounts.. the xr is round and the other has a raised groove which i would guess locks into the other style brake assembly

 

well after scouring ebay and looking at pics of hundreds of front rims i found one that matches up with the one i bought and it was a 05' CRF 50... soooo how do i make 05' rims fit the 00' brake components or do i have to buy seperate brake assemblies or will they just not fit at all?

 

hmm, now im not sure what bike these rims came off since everything ive been reading says all xr/crf rims are the same??? wth!!

I have two 2005 honda fiddys . Xr50 and crf50 wheels are the same .

You got screwed that's a China bike hub . Get your money back .

That ebay link is also wrong . That rim did not come directly off a 2005 crf 50 . It is a China hub . Maybe the bike had Chinese forks on it and they think it is a honda front end .
