What would be your steps of mods?

what would you do first after buying a stock xr50? Do any of you guys have the lift kit that raises like 3 in? what do you think about it?

First things I would do would be new triple clamps and raised bars, heavy front springs with bushings on extended chromoly forks, and an I shock or some other kind of heavier shock with a resivior in back. That will get you riding comfortably so your knees won't hit the bars and you won't be bottoming out all over the place. Next thing I would do is engine work with an 88cc big bore kit cuz those things are damn cheap for the power increases they give. That's the basic stuff, and I'm sure as you get more money you can go from there. By the way, those lift kits are bullshit, I'd rather just get taller seat foam with a gripper seat. Good luck on the build up

the gearworks set is real good for the money..it depends how much you are looking to do with the bike but I got em and they kick ***. I usally stunt the bike and hit jumps every now and then and they hold my 240 lb mass just fine.. Shugga has them in the store...

i just installed a 88cc big bore, cam, carb and bbr pipe on my doods fiddy... that thing is freakin crazy!!! its a must have man. im orderin mine this weekend. tall bars are also a must if u are anything over 4'9" haha. ive had gearworks springs for about 2 months now. like skater said, they are good for the buck. if u plan on jumping anything i wouldnt recomend them however. spend the money and get the good ****. ( not bashing u fuji ) im 200 lbs and i bottom my **** hard all the time with like 3' of air (depends on jump and situation ofcoarse). for street stunting u cant beat em. get the bars though for sure.
