fork play

I installed the applied springs and I noticed a lot of play in my front forks. One side like to dip faster and there is a clunk sound when I first start my wheelie and also when I do a stoppie the forks seems to move from front to back. Anybody have a solution? I think I need better inner slider (white plastic piece)???
Who makes them???

Mike

I got the applied springs as well and noticed the same thing. I did not like the way the front wheel would twist to one side when trying to do stoppies. I just cut 1 inch off the applied spring . Yes their is now 1 inch of play when you wheelie the front wheel off the ground but the front wheel does not tweak anymore .
For a second opinion ask FIVEO . He rode it , I mean crashed it a few weeks ago ( no hard feeling man ) .

later , mike

I ordered the bushing today. We will see how it goes.
Anybody have any input about Sano?
On the phone they seemed like a small 1 person shop. There website needs a ton of help also. I hope they are spending the money on quality and I do not get a $45 piece of junk.
I will giv eyou guys some feedback one I get the new parts.
The bushings are also plastic not brass like I have heard in other posts.

Sano has been around for a while, just as long as fast 50s. we put on the first race that got everyone hooked: sycuan 50 race that jeremy mcgrath rode in. the reason iy sounded like a small shop is cuz our guy that does all the sales was out today. we had a filler that did the job, barely. i remember your order, you paid with credit card right? we were realy swamped today cuz we had some remodeling done too. thanks for your interest in our product too.

So tell me a little about the bushing. How do they take the slop out of the forks? When I put the applied springs in the front fork legs stick out further and there is less of the leg inside the tube. Since the stock bushing is plastic and yours is plastic what is the difference between your product and the stock bushing that will fix my issue with the play in my forks?

i cant imagine the bushing wearing out so quickly...the ones on my 1980 z50r are fine, slopped in grease, no signs of wear. Do yours have grooves or anything worn into them?

notice the weird shape in the stock, white bushings? where it rubs on the fork tubes with the fork lowers it wears down further. the ones sano makes are harder plastic and are a perfect cylinder without any funky shapes or grooves. so basically it fits snugger than stock, but still allowes the forks to move up and down smooth
