The vent thread...

There isn't one here so why not start it, big or small lets hear it.

So I was riding tonight, working on my circles and my pant leg caught the kick starter just as I was loosing balance. I went to put down my foot and it yanked the bike to the right sending me one way and the bike the other. Why the hell didn't they design a kick starter that tucked in better like the bigger bikes do?? Pissed me off cause its the first time i dropped my bike in the few months sine I built it. I knew it would happen eventually but maybe from looping or something. Just wanted to put that out there, something so stupid just scratched all my new 50stunt anodized stuff.

Re: The vent thread...

I feel ur pain on that. My pant leg always gets caught on on that POS kick starter. Maybe thats why we should just learn to take them off. Just slip it on to crank the bike, no point in it after that. I just hate when i do combos and decide to go back to sit down. Only to bring my left foot down on top of the shifter and bang the bike down a gear (ouch). That **** will make u bust ur *** in a quicky.....Oh yeah and i have been practicing shifting from 2nd to 3rd while doing my combos (because i've just been bored). Sincie i got that down i decided i was gonna start trying shifting from 1st to 2nd during my combos........WRONG!!!!!!....Instant *** busting the moment u shift it into 2nd, LoL. And i dont care how much brake u grab, haha.....=-)

Every time i order new parts. I make it a point to go out and pop it up then bail off. Just so i can scratch that **** up and get it out of my system. Its gonna happen some day, so why not let it be the first day. =-)

Re: The vent thread...

I thought about taking the kick starter off, it's not like i can stall the bike. 1st to 2nd is a no go, my bike pops up when shift to 2nd...I have done 2nd to 3rd a few times, just remember to let off the gas when you do!! I snapped an ebay fender off doing a 2-3 "power shift".

Just touch it up with a black Sharpie. Trust me, it works. But in all seriousness, they are stunt parts, they are not going to stay new forever, if you are that concerned, quit dropping the bike.

Re: The vent thread...

Nah Prickster im not by any means concerned about keeping my stunt parts cleaned, LoL. And yeah the black sharpie is great. That was my exact thoughts when i decided to by Black ones.....Plus i like em black because its easier for me to see that brown dog **** when it gets on my pegs. Man i swear there is nothing worse than stepping in dog **** then smearing it all over your pegs. Then go into HC and all u smell is **** the whole way, LoL.....=-)

Re: The vent thread...

I'm not concerned with it anymore, scratches are going to happen. But if i were to cover it up I would use black model paint.... I do have to say though, the roundbar I made saved my rear fender cause that **** came back pretty hard.

Re: The vent thread...

Believe it or not, i cracked my rear fender with the bar on, LoL. I have since taken the bar off and havent cracked it any worse.........With my bikes....I do way more damage with a bar than i could ever do without a bar. But then again, thats just the way i ride. I never did like teasing the bar. I always had to bring that bitch back and grind the hell out of it.

I have no clue, but ive always noticed it getting worse and worse when i had my bar on. Yeah i did scrap the fender before without the bar (as u can see). But the crack was caused after the bar was installed. You can tell from the way it cracked that it wasnt because the fender scrapped.....So i took the bar off and its been the same ever since. Maybe its the weight of the bar pushing on the sub frame (causing some flex) each time i scrapped.....Anyways, heres a pic .=-)

Re: The vent thread...

Nah man no harm no fowl. I rock that biatch with or without the bar on now days, LoL. I've gotten so use to it without the bar, that i dont even think about it anymore. I bet if i put it back on, i'll start busting my *** more often haha.........As with everything, we always tend to try new things. So i've just been seeing what its like without the bar. Not saying its perfect, just saying IMO i feel more comfortable.....Without the bar, i have taught myself to be more gentle when riding 12's. I can actually ride them with the plastic barely off the street. So in a sense, it has taught me how to control my 12's alot more........But like i said, thats just me and thats just how i ride.....By no means are my ways perfect or any better than someone elses...=-)

Trouble.......Nah man, just slip it on and kick. Takes 10secs if that. =-)

I tried tucking the pants legs before, and it worked for awhile. But combo after combo it slowly starting to come out. And when it did, it caught me, LoL

Taking the kicker off just makes 100% sure u pants leg dont get caught on it....Oh and u can always push start it. But hell that takes longer than sliding the kicker on it and just kicking it....=-)
