Re: finally got me a fifty, question?
thanks bros. stopped by the "friendly honda dealership"
and
picked up a spark plug (NGK CR6HSA), an air filter, and a quart of marverl mystery oil (they call it GN4) for a grand total of 11.44. what the hell is the deal with the stock air filter set-up. man it looks like a bitch to get too. what's the easiest way? later im gonna buy a K&N pod filter. thanks

Changed the oil on my 06 earlier today (again). Put some more full synthetic in it and damn do i love myself. Seems like it runs better each time i change the oil, LoL
Re: finally got me a fifty, question?
hey Respect, I heard these 50's don't like syn. I might change it again after a few rides and then ditch the dino oil. what weight are you using and are how much?
Re: finally got me a fifty, question?
Yeah i heard that before also. But i have put full synthetic in mine since the day i boguth it and i've had it for a few years. I put full synthetic in everything i own, so i decided not to cut corners with my 50 either, LoL.....I have always used 10w 30 in my bikes, and i've never had a problem with any of them. 650ml-700ml in the 50, depending on if u manage to get all of the oil out of the cylinder head.....So safely u could go about 675ml or so......It doesnt hurt to have just a "little" too much (since we like to ride wheelies). But definitely check ur dip stick and dont put too much in it.....Too much will blow the headgasket to **** and back...=-)
