Re: Tubeless rims

Anything NOT wire. Cast wheels should be tubeless. As should billet aluminum

Re: Tubeless rims

check this out a friend of mine took a regular rim got some stuff from auto parts store called plastic coat and then ran about inch and half wide bead of the plastic coat around the center of the rim making sure all the spokes were coverd then got tubeless valve stem put in the rim and put a little of the plastic coat around the valve stem just for grins dont know if its even necessary.
ok now he mounted the tire on the rim but before trying to air it up he ran a small bead of silicon around both sides of the tire that contact the rim for a good seal.
I then watched him air up the tire and with a little tweaking of the tire it sealed aired up to pressure he then took a rag and wiped off any of the silicon that squezed out.
this was on his 125 been over 4 months now still holding.
