Never been asked?
Not shure if its ever been asked but since i'm new to the whole 50/stunt thing what should i really work on first. I know i should work on balance point absolutely first. but from there where do i go i've hit the BP a couple time then it just kinda drops out from under me i'm not shure if its just me bein nervous on the bike or what but i guess a HB setup would chill my nerves a little until i find anouther excuse to find the BP
how did ya'll learn the stunt abviously by doing it but what were your steps?

if it's dropping out then you are not using the engine brake or the foot brake correctly , a hand brake on a fifty is really only needed for very advanced tricks ..
you can do almost every thing on a fifty just using engine brake so get out there and ride it more

Re: Never been asked?
I started learning in 2nd gear. The speed helps keep the BP, but it hurts worse when u screw up. Learning the BP was not the hard part. Learning the side/side weight distribution is the tricky part. Run low tire pressure in the rear (it helps with ur side/side). You HAVE to learn your brake control. Without brake control, stunting isnt going to work. Make it a habbit to use the foot brake, that way u grow the habbit of always covering the brake. You may not always use the footbrake later, but u will be in the habbit of having it covered. Practice, practice and practice. You cant learn how to stunt by typing, hehe....=-) Good luck and keep ur head up. It will all be 2nd nature before u know it...=-)

what he said
Re: Never been asked?
Just to get in the habit at first, try doing sitdowns with one foot on the ground and just bring the bike up from a dead stop. Let it go pack a bit past bp and use the brake to pitch it back forward.
Re: Never been asked?
what your saying is leave it in first at idle liek say i was just starting leanign on my left foot. hold my foot down and rock the bike up and use the rear brake to bring it back down? i think that might help me out a bit. but i wish all this snow would stop so i could have a clear road to ride on. soon it'll have studded tires tho and i can try on the ice
Re: Never been asked?
I wouldnt try 2nd gear on that POS, it may fall apart in mid-air. Better leave that thing on 2 wheels, ur body will Thank You, LoL.......Save ur hospital bill money and buy a damn xr/crf..=-)
