How much did a 50 help you learn?

Hey guys what up......just a little bullshit thread here I want to hit the lots next summer hard and I'm gonna be picking up a crf50 this week. Just kinda curious about how much the 50 actually helps most people prepare for a big bike. Also what skills and stunts transfer over to a bigbike.......pretty much what should i be throwing down on this beast to get ready for the lot. I can roll stoppies all day but my Rear brake needs serious work (especially working the clutch and HB). Getting better brake control is what im getting it for ....its gonna be a lot cheaper when i loop the 50 i figured. But yah thanks for any advice in advanced.....feel free to preach your story on how it was transferring 50 skills to the 600

OHHH and a side note........can someone show me a pic of the bracket needed to have both a HB and foot brake on the 50. If anyone has stunt pegs and a HB set up for sale I will buy it from ya.

Bike for bike, the weight is a huge issue. You learn how to handle a 50 and u get use its weight. DO NOT expect to get on a big bike and ride it like u can the 50. The weight of the big bike will take a little time to get use to (like the 50 did)......However, the concept and the fundamentals are all the same. Brake control, throttle control, balance and weight distribution.......You wanna hear something funny. I know guys that can kill a big bike in the lots. But they cant ride a 50 to save their life, LoL....=-)

It was the single biggest contributing factor to me learning brake control. Just developing the muscle memory helped. After riding the fiddy for a while (learning circles, combos, etc.) I got back on the big bike and had brake control basically instantly, just had to adjust to the difference in throttle response and weight.
