ssr stunter

Got my 140tx almost setup, still need to figure out something for the rear hand brake. I got the 12 bar done and painted up, looks long as hell but it sits at 12 and its good for learning sense this bike is way taller than a 50 and i'm still a noob ha

Re: ssr stunter

the welding and painting look good on the Bar but it does look long and goofy as hell. It also looks like it sits alot higher than your rear fender? whatever if it works ride it

If its an SSR, then yeah it should have disc brakes...Thats the main reason i sold mine for my crf, LoL...That rear brake over heats so damn easy when ur "learning" brake control. The pistons just seaze up inside the caliper and its toast after that....My SSR gave me 10x's more trouble than my crf has ever thought about giving me...=-)

yea but i need to find a smaller sized left hand master and possibly a lil bigger calliper to fit on it as well... without spending 300-400 bucks ha

the bar doesn't have to be as long as mine, if you don't make it run the same angle as the rear fender you could probably lose 6inches or so off it at least. If you don't have a welder i don't think its really possible to make one the way i did but i can take some pics with the plastics off when i get a chance and put them on here.

Its nice to stunt except it gets to hot with the stock oil cooler on a hot day. Also the 140tx comes with a 1/4 turn throttle which takes a little more rear brake to make wheelies less throttle choppy, but thats probably me learning also

i put a Chinese knock off brembo 16x18 on mine. works fine just dont let it get hit in a crash because its cast not forged

Re: ssr stunter

i haven't had any issues with the bar doing circles or anything, but i've got my brake/throttle control down now so i'm going to operate on the bike again.

Ordered a rear hand brake setup. I'm going to extend the clutch release arm so its like an ezpull. Shorten up and drop the angle of the 12 bar and move the peg setup foward and down a bit.

Might be puttin a bb kit or swapping the motor also, i got it to hot during a session and now its burning oil

The handbrake was a little more work than i was expecting but it didn't turn out bad. I had to make a bracket for the clutch to mount up (have since hooked up a spare stubby magura lever off my cr125). The caliper bracket ended up being a little bulky but all in all came out pretty good

made an ez-pull setup while i was at it. Its about an inch added to the stock clutch arm and i had to extend it up to clear the motor mount bolt.

Still going to redo the 12 bar and peg setup within the next week or 2. And the motor is startin to smoke so i might be pickin up a gpx 160 fairly soon

thanks. yea i've been going over the bike every few times i ride. I nut, bolted, loctited and greased everything when i got it and its held up good.

little update, i haven't been messing with the stunt parts much but i did change out the exh valve seal and got it to stop smoking for the most part. Put a bigger cam, stiffer springs and a thinner head gasket in since it was only 55 bucks more from the same place i got the seals.

And... tinkered with the jets a bit and got her to fire pretty decent on e85, still have to grab a little bigger ones and a couple steps colder of a plug then i'm going to have a little monster

BTW with the mods and the fuel change i went from a 20 pilot and 100 main, to a 40 pilot and 150 main and still need more fuel ha
