how did you progress in stunts?

i really want to get better at this stunting thing but i really don't know where to go. i still have dirt tires on and ride in a bumpy backyard. is it that much harder to try and learn stuff on that kind of terrain than compared to street? i've been practicing just throttle control and straight wheelies, but a lot of times i have to take one foot off the bike to balance side to side. i'm just not sure what i should be practicing

would video help?

Re: how did you progress in stunts?

LOL wow i can't believe i read it like that.

I'm talking 1st and 2nd gear. I actually feel like I have more control in first gear while I'm going slower, but that's probably cus when I'm in 2nd my lawn dips like crazy and I'm riding through sand and ****... Just got out of work, gonna take a nap and take some video

But before you tear up the street, or parking lot preferably, put something on besides shorts. I know it's not a big bike but the concrete is still just as unforgiving. Just my

Re: how did you progress in stunts?

get on the streets or atleast pavement that bumpy grass isnt helping your side to side one bit. Then get a street tire for the rear the are only like $30 at 5ostunt.com and it will help you out a ton on your side to side as well then just practice practice practice

+1

The way I learn't was 2nd, it is easier cos you only have to worry about fore and aft ballance, when I was happy with riding b/p, started riding in 1st, then aft pegs. In hind sight I wish I spent less time in 2nd and more time on aft pegs.

Hope that help - my would be get aft pegs and h/b setup from 50stunt.com at the same same time as tyre.

Re: how did you progress in stunts?

To answer original question, Ride for fun but ride a lot. Seat/peg time is the answer. It's amazing what you pick up just having fun. When I put pressure on myself to learn more a lot of times it backfires. When I'm just having a fun session, I surprise myself.

YES! bp is bp, the fiddy bp's are tiny, The 600's bp's are huge compared. I stunt my 50 better than my f4i but it's because I'm a *****. The f4i is easier but way taller in the air and less forgiving with throttle.

I'm lazy so I spend much more time on the bullet proof 50. so much easier to just throw it in the truck and go. Plus the cops here let us stunt 50's but will inpound a big bike in a hurry

Just make sure you get a good cage on the 600 or at the very minimum sliders.because the 50 is way tougher than the gsxr.

+1 its abitch to find a lot to ride the big bike without the law ******* with you and bp it so huge but in advantage to a guy that stunts 50 then hops onto a big bike minus the throttle chop bp comes realy quick I been riding a streetbike for a month now and already my got bp and ****

Re: how did you progress in stunts?

IMO, and im sure several others will agree. I would get a Honda or a Kawi if your gonna stunt a big bike. Those Slozuki Fixxers just dont hold up to well in the lot. And its def not gonna hold up to someone who is learning to stunt a big bike.......Do as you want, but trust me that Slozuki will break like glass. If u dont mind fixing it every time u drop it, then more power to you.........Its cheaper to buy a Honda or a Kawi and get it over with.....But like i said, its my opinion...=-)
