My spokes broke...

I broke about 11 spokes on my rear wheel. I am about 200lbs riding on a pretty much stock 50. It has big handles bars a skid plate and a thumpstar exhaust. I am wondering if I should buy a new rim. I was looking at the BBR rim with heavy duty spokes is that a good rim? Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Do you even have a HD spring in the rear?

Re: My spokes broke...

bbr rims are good but expensive . You broke the spokes not the rim , so you dont need a rim . You could buy bbr heavy duty spokes , drill out the holes a little bigger on the hub and stock rim , and use the heavy duty spokes . But putting spokes on a wheel and trueing it correctly sucks especially if you never did it before .

Just go to planetminis and look for a stock honda crf50 complete wheel assembly for sale . Probably will be cheaper than buying bbr spokes !!

If you are using your fiddy to jump , i would probably go with better aftermarket wheels and heavy duty spokes though .
