Big Bar conversion ??????

Big Bar conversion ??????

Installing a Big Bar setup on my 07 Fiddy. What do i do about the switch. Can I just pull it and use the key to shut the bike off? Do I NEED a switch on the bars? What did You guys do on yours

i just straight p unplugged them, i didnt tape them off. or you could keep teh switch and just mount it near the tripple tree. i tried that at first and then just decided screw it and unplegged it.

Most stockers have a rubber boot where all that business hooks or un hooks up. I just pulled the plugs and and pulled the boot back over. If you have no exposed wires or connections then tape is a waste. Plus most electrical tape will come lose , unwind and make a mess when hot.

The BBR kit comes with a killswitch for the bars. You just unhook the stock and plug in the new. Ran mine for a while until I caught a pant leg on it and 86'd it. Now I just use the key.

Thanks guys. I just unplugged em from inside the boot. Key will be plenty good. Now Im just waitin on the parts I ordered from Ryan@50stunt on friday to get here. He said they may show up monday but up here it'll probably be next friday!

BBR one is dumb anyway. I guess the contacts were not making good contact or something like that. Anyway it made my buddies bike stall constantly. We pulled the kill switch off and no more problems.

Luckily if you drop it the bike will turn off by itself .. carbs...
