i am looking to get a 50 to practice stunting on and was just curious, is there any differnces between a 2002 crf50 and newer crf say a 05-09 beacuse there is a 02 i can get that im thinking about getting just want to know if there are any differnces or if i should get a newer one.. thanks

 

there are some minor differences between the older one and the newer ones but for the most part there all the same..... if you can get one cheap get it and ride the **** out of it and have fun....... i love my fiddy i take it everywhere

around here they go for 600 to 900 for a newer one! But you can find some for 200 to 500. I personal like buying stuff somewhat newer, less **** to worry about, but it all depends. Sometimes u find older bike that people bought and its been sittin in ther garage for 5 years and only has 2 hours on it!

Yeah theres a difference....They didnt make a CRF in 2002, it was actually an XR. in 2004 they started making the CRF, hehe

As for as the bikes are concerned. The rear plastic has a few different screws/bolts (but that doesnt matter) CRF and XR plastics will fit on it either way. ALso the XR has a rubber sleeve over the kickstart thingy.........Oh yeah and i forgot to mention The 06's are the fastest production 50 ever made, hehe.........
