help a brotha out 50 acting really weird wont start and bogs out

ok heres the details on my POS 2007 full stock bore 50.

Nothing done to the motor. Just took the air filter off because i thought that was the problem. Got a bbr 50 handle bar kit on it thats it. and a 50 stunt 12 bar.

When the bike is cold it starts and rides very nice. When it heats up or after about 30 minutes or so then at full throttle it bogs, looses power and dies out. Then it wont start after that. When i put the choke on, it will get going then i take the choke off it dies right away again. If i keep the choke on and take it off a little while opening up the throttle, it will keep going for a white till i put it in gear. the exhaust sounds like its spurting and bogging out at the same time.

Heres what i have tried so far. I cleaned the air filer when i had it on and still did it. Cleaned the carbs, changed the spark plug, changed oil, and pretty did everything i know but nothing. It just got worse. Any ideas on what i can try next? Its a 07 and never hardly sat. Maybe a 2 weeks at most.

Doest even start anymore. Sounds like not enough gas or something.

I'm just about had it with this POS and am about to dump this **** in the river.

any advise at this point would help. ANything!!!!

Re: help a brotha out 50 acting really weird wont start and bogs out

take the carb apart and blow it out with high pressure air...you prob. have a piece of crap stuck in the carb/float/gas line....if that dont work buy an 88cc kit for $139 that comes with a NEW carb

Re: help a brotha out 50 acting really weird wont start and bogs out

i already did take the carb and clean it. Should i try and replace the lines where the gas comes from? would a 22mm carb work with my stock motor?
What else can i do i'm pretty sure that my carb is clean from the looks of it anyways

Sounds like you were just running lean the whole time and you did all that work for nothing
The choke half closed pretty much tells you that the bike wanted more fuel to run .

That's what I was thinking as well.

Since I dont know the extent of your knowledge on these things I'll act like you know nothing. Start out by making sure you're getting fuel. Pull the fuel hose loose from carb and open fuel petcock and make sure fuel flows out. If you are getting fuel and know that it's fresh and clean with no water or debris then do the steps below. If not clean your petcock screen and use fresh fuel and go from there.

On the stock carb there are three screws. A phillips on top then a flathead below it and another flathead down below that. The top phillips is idle, the flathead below that is air/fuel and the final is just a bowl evacuate drain.
If you fear you have vibrated out of adjustment a good starting point is to fully close the phillips idle screw (clockwise) then eyeball the screw and count the opening counterclockwise turns 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 turns open. Then do the same thing with the flathead air/fuel screw except ONLY OPEN it about 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

If there are no other issues, this should allow you to start and warm the motor. When the motor has been warmed for like 5 mins to full operation temp then the final adjustments can be made by ear. The final adjustments should be close to where they are now so moving the screws more than say a half turn without success would probably indicate another issue.

Also, make sure all of your head and intake gaskets are good and everything is tight. ANY AIR seeping in will cause you major idle headaches.

Good luck

Re: help a brotha out 50 acting really weird wont start and bogs out

as soon as i put the 70 motor in the fiddy i had to take the stock airbox off the 70 motor so it would fit into the 50 frame, i put on a foam cone style airfilter and now it seems it gets too much air and doesnt run like it should... brought it to a shop to tune it and still does it

i woke up today and realize this sport/ riding isnt fun like it used to be.
if everyone helped each other out instead of going behind peoples back to **** them over i probably wouldnt be thinink this way....

very well thinkin about selling my stunt bike and finding something new to do.

theres a sick bmx track round here, as well as some dirtbike tracks.

See last lines in my other comment. Sounds like air seepage into head or intake maybe. Tighten up! Check head/intake gaskets. Remember, some aftermarket carbs dont set up with same adjustments as stock so adjustments in other comment may not apply.

Hmmm, is my comment invisible?

Adjust your air/fuel ratio with adjustment screw.

That's cause you have an 2007 , i belive they changed carb design in 2006 . I think i have read somewhere that you can make a slot in it and then adjust it . You should try to ask over at planetminis on the new carb style and adjustment .

Its a website . Google that **** , then sign up

I thought i had read that you might be able to take that out and put in a fuel mix screw in there or something , or be able to change the needle in the carb with the clip(which is not adjustable on your carb) , so it can be adjustable too .
