hey guys, lookin for another garage for the toy, and limited to about 500-800 bucks so lookin like either an ATV or a smaller bike. as ive never owned a dirtbike/pitbike before, i was wondering if the 50 would support a 6'5 325lb guy(with slightly long legs)like myself or if i need to go with a slightly larger bike to ride around and stunt around on. yeah i know im a noob when it comes to these bikes, but gotta start somewhere

 

yeah, but get aftermarket front and rear shoks, and a tall seat some ppl like thim but i dont

 

just get some hd springs and ur go to go......

 

you might want to check out the crf 70, it would be a better size.

 

or even a xr100 or ttr 125. both still are some what smaller bikes and would fit ya better and be more comfortable to ride. Check craigslist, ull find one of those in your price range. Plus u can hit up the trails and have enough power to pull you around.

 

crf70 would be a better fit for ya.

i'd say 70 as well but if you cant find one in your range a 50 isn't bad if your gonna get a spring and big bars. My buddy is the same height as you and the only thing he really runs into are his knees hitting the stock bars and excess sagging on the stock spring.

But you'd end up spending the same for a 50 with thos parts as you would on a 70 .

dont 70's have a bar clamp instead of a welded bracket thing like the 50?

I'm 6'3" 265 and I wouldn't want to be much bigger for riding a 50. It'd be close.

 

YES, my boddy rocks a 70 just cuz he is a bigger guy than the rest of us. so i would go with the 70 for sure!!

Im 6'8 265ish and i often feel like im to big for my 50. Im still learning the whole wheelie thing, and have the bruises to show it!!! But the rest of my family loves ridding the 50!!!!!

 

My buddy is 300+ and 6'2" and he was rockin wheelies on mine. Im 6'1" and 215.

Was quite amusing at times though. lol

Like was said... just get HD springs & big bars and you're good to go.

 

i'm a member of the FBC (Fat Boy Club), i'm 6'0" 305lbs, i personaly feel better on my xr80, but i can comfortably ride my 50 as well. mine has bigger bars, pegs, seat and a rear spring..

 

sounds like some ****'s need to lay off the twinkies and get on that nutra-system diet or sum shitz.. damn i'd be worried about frame/weld stress with all that extra poundage and definitely need a aftermarket shock & forks. i would also check the max weight supported on the tires & forget about jumping.

 

haha.. i can't help it, it's a mixture of hawaiian/polynesian blood line. we naturaly big

 

size doesn't matter, it's all in your head. i'd just get the 50.
