Anybody had to jet the 50stunt 88cc stage II Kit?

I was having problems with the bike idling so I adjusted the air screw on the 20mm that came in the 50stunt stage II 88 kit and it runs best only 1/2 turn out and pops on decel so I dropped the clip one notch from center and got rid of the pop on decel. I was thinking of now going up one # richer from the #35 it has now to try to get the air screw out a little more. Since no shop has these damn minni K knock off jets I am going to have to order from dratv.

Should I just go one richer on the pilot? what about the main it has the stock K68 should I just order the 70 and 72 ? I just don't want to have to order a bunch of times and get killed on shipping.

TIA, Zach

Zach, You should be able to dial that thing in with the stock jets, if not, I have some kits in stock with pilots and mains for like 10 bucks. What pipe are you running? which way did you move that needle, if you lower the clip, it'll richin that carb up. 1/2 turn sounds pretty good on the air screw.

I am running the bone stock pipe. I have the 50stunt endcap but I usually keep the stock sparky in so I don't **** off the neighbors.

I droped the clip on the needle one slot lower (from center possition) which raised the needle and richened it up, that helped alot it totally got rid of the pop when you let off the throttle and gave me allot more power, but it still doesn't want to idle as well as it did when I first put the kit in.
The choke doesn't seem to do anything to help it start when it is cold, I don't know what the deal is with that.

I am going to order that jet kit and see if richening the pilot and the main jet up one # helps as much as richening the needle did.

I will call you if I can't find the jet kit on your site.

Thanks, Zach

If its runnin better throuth the rest of the powerband, and just has trouble idling and startup, work with the air screw some, small turns at a time between 1/4 and 1 turn out, if your at half now, try turning it out a little, then you will have to adjust the idle screw after that. Also check for air leeks on the intake, double check the cam timing, and the valve clearances. ive seen valves to tight cause similar simptoms.

It has been many a sesion since I checked the valves. I will give them a look.

Do you ever change the spark plug, if so how often?
