The seat, if anyone is wondering, is actually a tray from a Snap On toolbox I no longer have. Turned it upside down and tacked it to the frame. The funny thing is it's no less comfortable than my RC51.

Aaaaand... a little teaser of my winter project. I have no idea if it'll work, but it just needs too be plumbed in.

Why not, right? I was digging through one of my junk drawers looking for some scrap steel to finish up another project, when I found the turbo. As I was holding it, I looked over at my pit bike. It was at about that point that my other project dropped off the radar.

Re: pics of the everyones 50s

hey just a heads up, i've known many people whove tride the turbo, unfortunately, no one has sucessfully done it yet, check midbikenation or planetmini's for more info. midbikenation is the best place for info on motors, racing, custom builds, etc.

Re: pics of the everyones 50s

Thanks for the heads up. The inherent problem lies in the size of the turbo. Most use, if I recall correctly, an IHI RHB31. Compared to that, mine is substantially smaller. Hey, it may not work. I really have no idea. It's one of those, "if it worked, you'd see more of them" things, I'm sure. But at the same time, I've not seen anyone use the turbo I have, so who knows... It's more for ***** and giggles, anyway... a diversion to my big winter project.

Re: pics of the everyones 50s

I like to bring both my YZ450 and the CRF50 to bike night from time to time. The Hooters chics get a kick out of the mini stunter, hehe

Re: pics of the everyones 50s

Yxr (ysr frame + xr motor) finally together, still having some carb issues, but new carb outta solve that.

just trying to decide if i want to shell out $80 for an aftermarket top clamp and mod it to use dirtbike bars or not.

and yes, i re-did the pipe to have it fully protected under the frame, and it sounds like a little monster!

Re: pics of the everyones 50s

yeah, i would want to get some really low profile ones, the clipons are killing my wrist, as well as putting nice big dents in the side of my tank.

no, the way the top clamp is set up, its like early street bikes, the fork tapers off, and the clips ons are held to the top clamp, and the top clamp and clipsons are only held to the forks because of a large nut on top of the forks. so compression between the bolt on top of the forks and the part where the fork towers widen is what keeps the top clamp on firm (kinda confusing)

adding the bars is not a problem, its pretty simple to do.

I could go ahead and set it up now, except i would have to hack up the clip-ons, and after that there is no going back.
