Dammit,I can't find it! Just take some aircraft stripper and soke both covers with it.Do it as many times as you need too. Then sand the hell out of it with 2000 grit xtra fine sandpaper. When you think your sanding, keep sanding!! Then polish the **** out of it with mothers or what ever you like. There are many diffrent ways to do it,but this is the fastest. If you have anymore questions shoot me a pm.I have polished tons of bikes, and can tell you in more detail how to do it with diffrent grits of sandpaper for better results if needed!!!

Yes, you can also polish the engine cases as well if you feel like it.

I use jasco to strip and a pneumatic DA sander with a soft sanding pad, flap wheels on a pneumatic angle grinder and hand sand where i have to. I can work with the powertools up to 800grit from there i switch to all hand and take it to 1500. From there i hit it with the buffing wheel and some white ruge, then a final buff by hand with some simple aluminum polish.

I use to do all my polishing by hand then i learned better. Only takes me a few hours now to do a case.

as far as doing the work with the engine together i have no idea. Ive never done it that way. Seems like a bad idea though to me. Most of the times ive done it is in the middle of a tear down to drop in a 4speed or a stroker crank.

You can polsh just about anything though if you know what your doing. Here is my chaly im just finishing up. It looked like a rusted hunk of crap when i picked it up.
