Smile Got my new bars... WOW!

Just got my bar kit from Fast50s and put it on today... WOW what a difference! It changes the whole personality of the bike. No more dorky, splayed leg riding. I can ride it like a real bike. Err.. well as much as you CAN ride a fiddy like a real bike, that is.

And the wheelies are SO much easier now. Not sure if it's just the bars, the new throttle (Fast50s billet throttle) or both, but it's much easier/smoother to wheelie. Now I can stop draggin my feet like a pansy and do proper wheelies with my feet on the pegs.

The bars went on fairly easily, but the throttle cable was kinda of a PITA. I had to reroute it so it's completely on the right side of the bike, on the outside of the key, forks and bars. Not a big deal, but I'd be a little concerned of it getting snagged trail riding, though I'm not sure how many trails my fiddy will ever see?

It also took quite a bit of playing around with the throttle cable to get it to where it would return (snap closed) properly, and not rev up at full lock. Now that it's set, it works fine.

I did have one "incident" on my first attempted test ride. The throttle seemed ok, so I went to turn around and when the bars got to the lock the throttle stuck. With no kill switch anymore, I couldn't shut it off. I had to steer it into the garbage can and turn the key off. Oops. I got the kill switch from Fast50s as well, but haven't put it on yet. Definitely be doing that tomorrow!

Springs and seat next. My fiddy is getting better by the minute!

Ouch! I haven't tried shifting in a wheelie, and with the rather violent way the fiddy shifts, don't think I'll try anytime soon!

Besides, my goals are BP wheelies and brake control... no need for shifting there.
