The fiddy helping big bike stuntin'?

Let's lay it down here. I have heard os many opinions of it helps so much to it hurts your big bike skills. What's the real deal here?

Personally for me I just started getting into stuntin and only have a few hours on the fiddy and done nothing but some simple wheelies on my cbr. I really can't say if it helps but I'm gonna teach myself brake control on the fiddy before I try to 12 the cbr. Makes sense to me that though the bikes are different it's a somewhat transferrable skill but then again my opinion can't count for much since I'm a too new to this that's why I'm asking yours.

With me I learned to stunt on a big bike before I got the fiddy. I think the only thing that it would help is brake control and getting over the fear of the balance point.

Yeah, those are the only two things i think it could help at all. I hear more of it taking away from the big bike skills... for awhile, the fiddy will be all I have, but I think the big bike is what teaches you the most...

I followed that link, Wierd you started that thread just before I did.

So the verdict is the fiddy is good for the begginer who needs to find the BP and learn break control and not much else?

I've heard people thanking god for fiddys the learn break controls and 12s on before they tried to do so on their big bikes but I guess after the basics there is so much differense between a fiddy anbd a big bike not much in transferable.

I don't see how it can do anything but help. Wheelies are wheelies, no matter what you ride. You see guys that are really good at stunting, and they can jump on pretty much any bike and wheelie it. Balance point, throttle and brake control apply to fiddys and big bikes alike. Learn how to do it well on one, and you should be able to transfer those skills to another.

At the very least, it certainly can't HURT your skills. Besides, fiddys are fun as hell.. how can that be a bad thing?

That's how I think, and everytime I see my fiddy dive into the pavement I think, damn I'm glad I didn't just do that on my big bike.
