i just installed the bbr big bar kit and went to try and crank the bike and it would not crank and it ran fine before i put it on...im thinkin its somethin to do with the carb? since i had to fool with it some... it is an after market carb and iits a xr50 but any ideas??? im dieing to ride it...thanks

 

you proly put the slide in the wrong way

 

If its not the carb check the kill switch...mine started runnin like a turd and it was the killswitch that was bad

 

thanks...i thought it might have been the kill switch to and i took it completely off...the kill switch box on the bike is not hooked to ne thing anymore i jus taped them up and took the kill switch off....and about the carb slide doesn't it only go in one way??? cuz if not it doesn't slide alway down....thanks

 

The slide goes all the way down in 2 positions, 1 way it goes all the way down but your throttle will not come back the spring hits the top and keeps it all the way down. If you rotate it 180 deg. it should go all the way down and the angel will be set right to let the spring work and fix your problem.

 

me and my buddy broke it down today and i had the carb in just right but my dumba$$ had the coil unhooked when i was foolin with the kill switch and didn hook it back up....one question though where does the kill switch wires "green and black" hook into...sorry kinda new at this stuff...aprreciate the help tho..thanks

 

ON my 07' they hook into a plug on the leftside of the bike that is covered by a black rubber boot.....there should be two spots for the wires to reconnect......I havent hooked mine back up I just turn it off with the key
