lighting

Are there any good kits to put head/tail lights on the 50's? What about piecing something together from a motorcycle or somethin? I wanna get one so I can ride it to work everyday. Diesel's gettin too pricey w/ my lead foot.
Thanks, Horny

Re: lighting

Find out if you can ride the fiddy on the streets first . I've seen light kits , but they are very expensive .

There is a sticky thread at fiddylife in the "How to" forum about how to wrap your stator for lights . Then you can add the lights you need .

Re: lighting

I use a nasty mountain bike light for the front and a $5 rear bicycle light. Check out the Nite Rider company. Try www.pricepoint.com Mine lasts 3 hours on an 8 hour charge and its hella bright. Mine is the Trail Rat 2.0. Think its discontinued. It was 69 on clearance

ya need a battery to be STREET LEGAL (I believe in most states your lights must still work if the bike dies)

If your looking for just simple headlights.. a $15 voltage regulator, $10 on some 18awg magnetic wire, $20-$40 on any fog light, small amount of 12-16awg wire, and a little time and your good to go..

I spent $7.50 on a POUND of magnetic wire in my town.. Was PLENTY to wind both my 50 and 150f! :YEAH :YEAH

NEver actually hooked up the 50 tho.. Just wound it and left it LMAO.. but the 150f has been running with headlights for a while now :YEAH

edit: **** that bicycle ****... 10watt bulb! Thats like a flashlight lol!

I run a 30 and 55w bulb in my 150, and I'm sure with my stator on my 50, it could handle a single 50w

Re: lighting

sd is easy to get plates for dirt bikes. wind your stator, or buy one. wire it up with the regulator.
