XR50 vs 125cc Pit Bike

So I wanted to get a christmas present for my brother. He wants to get a 125cc pit bike cuz he likes the fact that they are a little bigger than 50s (hes 17) and that they are faster too. I was going to get him a xr50 so I decided to ask you guys here. Basically, whats the better thing to get?

Well unless your brother is little and can't handle the power of the 125 motor or does not want a bike with a clutch then the 125 motor then you really should go with a pit bike.

Check out our 140SX, its a kick *** bike and comes with tons of nice parts, The SX Pro is even nicer but the price jumps up a bit.

I put up a picture of the black one too which IMO looks much nicer then the blue.

if he is going to be stunting then yes get him a xr or crf 50 they have alot more selection for stunt parts.
but if he just wants something to play with then maybe get him the 125.
but ive got a friend thats like 21 that rides a 50 and loves it.

+1 get a honda 50. i'm 21 on a ttr 50...its good but after market stuff is wicked expensive compared to a honda50. get the honda for him, don't get a pit bike if he wants to stunt.

Dude I’ll say it again my brother and I shared a 110 pit bike just learning break control and just all around beating the hell out of the bike. these imported pit bikes are the same as when sport bike started getting recognized all the harley guys said those are junk turns out the where wrong this is the same thing I think if you find someone local so you can get parts if it does break you will be very happy. My brothers never had a single problem and we beat the hell out of his and it still runs

+1 you save so much buying a knockoff and save more when you get aftermarket parts so its a win win with a knockoff bike.....ive had my lil 110cc streetkilla x7 now for a lil over 4 years now and it runs great just like it did a million miles ago...

Re: XR50 vs 125cc Pit Bike

i race for a company out here in AZ and we run chinese knock of pit bikes in the series, i run against REEG setup XRF50`s and KLX/DRZ 110`s and have no problems spankin... i run a Coolster XR-2 with Grips, BBR seat, ASV levers, and an assorted motor set, depending on what the class requires...

I LOVE MY KNOCK OFF!!!
