87 S10 blazer, 4wd, ran but the freeze plugs were bad, body was straight but needed paint. I think i came out a little ahead in the deal. What do you guys think it is worth if I decide to sell? The guy told me he was asking $1600 for it but I do not know if it will get that much. I know he put alot more than that into it.

Re: Traded my 87 Blazer for this.......

you can probably get 1000 - 1200 for it, but most used fiddies unless extremely modded out and clean don't bring much over 1k dollars... you probably would have made more in cash to jsut sell the blazer to some one who was looking for a 4wd in the winter IMO

it's stilla ncie bike, but trying to get the money out fo these things that you put in them is damn near impossible

BTW,.... did you trade that witha guy from kansas city? i know some one down there that just got that exact same bike a few months ago then put a DRATV 88 kit opn it, but not sure if he still has it.. but that one looks like a spitting image of the one he had/has

Nah, it was a guy here in Ga. From what I was told he hooked it for his girl but she never really used it. I was only asking $1200 for the blazer so I think it was a pretty even trade. He was looking for something to beat up and I wanted it out of my drive way so it worked out good.

^^^^ funny D funny.... i feel old though, that's the worst part haha

anyway, hell if you only wanted 12 out of the blazer you probably made out for the better. hell if you've ever even had to do valve cover gaskets on that truck you'd feel like it was worth it

Re: Traded my 87 Blazer for this.......

if the cops hadn't become dicks about fiddies around, there'd be a lot more runs, but there's going to be a huge one here in a few months, some guys from iowa are coming out and i'm planning a 10 mile neighborhood run or something while there here, something probably in the range from 156th down to the aksarben area and ba... jsut trying to figure out what golf course i'm really not liking right now

i can prolly get together 7or so guys but we need like 20-30 total and i heard golf course fines are nuts but with 30 fiddies who cares.

Valve covers? **** man, I bought it for $250 and we changed the head gaskets, fuel pump, major tune up, and exhaust doughnuts among other things. But when we got everything back together, started it up and drove it that is when we noticed the freeze plugs behind the engine were bad. I said forget and put it up for sale. I think it was a fair deal. I am going to try and get a $1000 bucks for the fiddy. Only thing it needs is fork seals.
