Scrapping the 12??

ok so ive had my 12oclock bar since december. and i can put one foot in the 12 bar and stand it straight up and scrape it. now i want to sit down and scrape it but im a lil scared of doing it and i was wondering how should i do it so i dont crash lol even though i will.

just do it bro, its the only way ur gonna get used to it and most likely you will crash. i busted my *** plenty of times learning to scrape the 12 bar on a fiddy. you can try it in 1st gear but its pretty hard to get enough momentum to bring it back up unless you have a really strong brake. get used to going past balance point it'll help with that natural fear you got.

yea i went out today 4 a lil bit and tryed it in 1st but i just stopped and i well back on the pavment .should i just do it in 2nd

yeah 2nd should be good, just go a little faster everytime until you can bring it back up. oh and try not to slam the bar on the ground, learn how to ease it down so you don't bend the subframe, it'll look smoother.

sounds like you need to work on your brake control more. ease it past bp slowly and once your way past you can let off the back tap the bar and get on the brake to bring it back down.

click 3rd gear lean back and scrape it, then just merely tap the brake to come back

yea well ill try that in a few minutes. now will i fall off the back of the bike .b/c when i tryed it in 1st i fell off the back so what should i do to stay on good?

Try siting on the bike in 12' position (with an empty tank of gas) to get a feel for it. I t should help.

Well thx guys for the help
i FINALLY learned how to scrap it sitting down.the only thing is a adjusted my 12 bar. i pulled it out about 1 1/2 inches so i can get use to it beging almost straight up then ill start pushing the 12 bar back in until it was were i use to have
