Front Axel Pegs question

I was wondering what they are used for ? I mean I've seen them on a few bikes....and I've seen a 2nd person use them on full size bikes (like doing tandem rolling stoppies) But I'm wondering what else riders might be using them for ? any Pics ? Thanks guys

the only use we've come up with them is for extra protecion like frame sliders for the fairings.... on our bike with front and rear pegs the plastics have never touched concrete adn it's been wrecked a ton...nevver tried much tandem stuff ona fiddy yet

Re: Front Axel Pegs question

well.. you need a longer axle for pegs on the front....when i did troys i had to use a rear axle that i shortened and welded back together

yea same diameter , shortened it 2 inches... but if you have aftermarket fork legsyou have to use a stock rear axle and use washers to space teh pegs out pst the step in the leg

Re: Front Axel Pegs question

Thanks guys.... I put them on my xr80 front and rear....Not even knowing what I'd ever use them for ....LOL They are right there (as gixxer601 said) to do an axel grab or somethin...... I've put my feet on them while attempting a stoppie (took some more weight off the bike ....BUT....made my body feel unstable if I was to go over or something it would be alot harder to bail )
Anyways....Im a newb and Im just finishing setting up my little bike....I'll post pics soon for you all to laugh at.....LOL
I put a nice 12 bar on it....and bruised my legs about 7 times the first day it was on there ROFL
It sticks out about 1 inch or so more than the stock rear fender did....and it wider of course.....SO it caught me off guard again and again...like climbing on and off....and setting down slow wheelies and jumping off the bike onto my feet.... I kept catching it ....ROFL

Front pegs for street sessions.................grinding curbs and crap 5050 like a freestyle bmx.......... they also make for interesting stoppie variations.
