Fiddy Tickets?

I just put basic liability on my Fiddy tonight! Now I can't get a no insurance ticket for road riding. I was wondering what other tickets I could get for road riding in NY. Is there any way to register a fiddy? How much is a no registration fine? Just courious. Thanks guys!!

Re: Fiddy Tickets?

If you put it on the road you need lights . Find out about helmet laws . Maybe you can register it as a moped .

Or if your title says All Terrain like mine does , you might be able to say it is an enduro

I'm sure a cop will think of other stuff to give you tickets

Re: Fiddy Tickets?

just depends where you live ... every state is different ...

we have titles and they look like car titles...

you can do a search online for requirements for your fiddy to be registered as street legal, just not sure for your state...

we got tickets recently because of new cop on duty in our neighborhood ... :bandhead
all the other cops were cool till this old fart started
he wrote 2 tickets on the fiddy and 3 tickets on the quad .. one including running a stop sign LOL ...
sheeeeeeeesh

It's probably lack of smoke. He seems a little cantancerous lately. Picking on little kids and ladies. He needs to ride, how about you?

Re: Fiddy Tickets?

from what i know really its a bad idea to register them, cause any trouble you get into can go on your driving record. if i get in trouble it just gets impounded. i think.

Re: Fiddy Tickets?

just go to the dmv, or whatever you have there, and ask those fools how to make it street legal...they'll let you know what's up.

Lets me no what you find out. I live in Buffalo NY. I have a Z-50 and a CRF 50. It would be nice to drive it to the spot instead of transporting it.

Re: Fiddy Tickets?

Ive received a $600 ticket. It was for riding on a walkway(crosswalk), no eye protection, no registration/insurance, and the bullshit one is he gave me disobeying traffic obediance(basically another fine breaking the rules he already fined me for). He tried to get me for no lights, but my flashing light on my backpack and flashlight on the front fender got me off on that.

The way i found out what you can exactly do on your fiddy and all the regulations, is go to the court and request a copy of all the laws and requirements(it was like 13 pages). But becareful cause city laws and state laws may contridict themselves.
