A cdi box doesn't really help on a stock 50 The gains will probably be unnoticable . But on a 88 , yes . Plus it will let you rev higher .

50stunt has a starter 88 kit for like $140 . And dratv has a 88 kit for $100 .

I would make sure you have the right basic tools and know how to time a fiddy engine before you tear it down (the head must come off)

Re: just bought a fiddy-----Help Needed

get teh trail bikes kit..Stage 2 is my favorite setup for stunting) .as for a CDI box i wouldn't waste my money if i were you. Trizzbizzle and I have the same race head 88 kits and i have a rev box and he doesn't...He doesn't hit teh rev limiter ever adn runs just as fast if not faster than me most of the time...the bigger motor just won't rev to the stock limiter ( maybe with an inner rotor kit, but that's over kill ) spend your money on a HD clutch from trailbikes before buying a CDI because if you go with anything bigger than teh stage 1 big bire kit your clutch isn't gonna last too long
